Unique Green Mango Rice (Spicy Rice Recipe)

This is a simple south Indian rice recipe. With green mango flavor and tempered with assorted spices, this Indian recipe is the complete meal for your family. 
1: Cook rice and keep it aside. You are using Dunar basmati rice then use 1.5 cups of water for each cup of rice.

2: Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds in it. Once cumin and mustard seeds splutters, add cashew nuts, fry till it turns into light brown colour.
3: Add green chilies, red chilies and curry leaves. Fry for 2 minutes.
4: Add asafetida, turmeric powder and salt, fry for 2 minutes.
5: Add the grated raw mango to it and mix it well with the other ingredients for 2 minutes. Do not cook mango more than that.
6: Finally add cooked rice to it and mix it well. Take it out from the flame.

Vegetarian Spicy Rice Recipe:

1: Wash Dunar Basmati rice and soak it in the water for half an hour. Now remove excess water from it and cook it on a low flame. 

2: Heat oil-butter in a pan. Sauté royal cumin seed on low flame now fry all blanched vegetables(carrots, beans, peas, cauliflowers) on low flame.

3: Add green chili, ginger and garlic paste in it then fry it on low flame. Keep it in  mind that this preparation doesn’t gets burnt. 

4: Add whisked yogurt, golden brown fried onion, coriander, mint, salt, lemon juice and red chili powder to it. Now simmer it for 1-2 minute on low flame. 

5: Add cooked rice in it. Pour screw pine juice, saffron mixture, cardamom powder, coriander, garam masala powder in it and pour desi ghee on it. Covering the lid cook it for 1-2 minutes on dim flame.

6: Put this preparation very carefully on a serving dish. Now you can serve it hot with mint, coriander and fried golden onion pieces.

Dunar Basmati Rice with Coconut and Lime
1. 2 cups Dunar Basmati rice rinse well in cold water.
2. Heat the oil in a saucepan, adding onion, garlic, ginger, and cook until onion is soft.
3. Stir in turmeric and add rice. Saute for about 3 minutes.
4. Add the coconut milk, 2 1/2 cup water, and about 1 tsp of salt. (If you use a rice cooker, first transfer the rice mix to the cooker and then follow with coconut milk and water).
5. Bring rice to boiling, reduce heat, and simmer for about 20 minutes, or until all the liquid evaporates.
6. If you serve it warm, add cashews, spring onion, and peel and juice from one lime. Mix and serve decorated with lime wedges. If you serve it as a salad, cool down the rice and serve cold.

Spiced Dunar Basmati Rice Recipe

Melt butter in medium saucepan on medium heat. Add cashews; cook and stir until golden brown. Remove cashews with slotted spoon. Set aside. Add ground spices to saucepan; cook and stir about 30 seconds or until aromatic.
Stir Dunar Basmati rice into saucepan. Add water and sea salt; bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 15 minutes. Remove from heat.Stir in cashews, raisins and mango. Cover and let stand 5 minutes. Stir in green onions.


Chili Lime Dunar Basmati Rice Recipe

1 C. Dunar basmati rice, rinsed & well drained (uncooked)3 T. butter3/4 C. onion, diced to about 1/4"1 1/2 t. minced garlic1/2 t. chili powder1 T. fresh lime juice1 1 /2 t. minced lime zest2 T. cream (or milk)1 1/4 t. salt1 T. chopped fresh cilantro2 T. thinly sliced chives Preheat oven 375 degrees.

Place well drained rice in a 1 1/2 quart baking dish.
Melt the butter in a nonstick or heavy saucepan.  Add onion & saute over medium heat until soft, about 2 minutes.  Add garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.
Add chili powder, lime juice, lime zest, cream and 1 1/2 C. water - bring to boil.
Stir entire mixture into the rice in baking dish.  Seal tightly with foil and bake for 20-25 minutes or until rice is tender & all liquid is absorbed.
Fluff with a fork, then fold in chives & cilantro before serving.

Dunar Vegetable Biryani Recipe

Wash and soak the Dunar basmati rice.
Drain and keep aside. Fry onions in oil and set aside.
To the same oil, add the whole masalas, vegetables( Potatoes, Cauliflower florets, Peas, Cumin seeds, Carrots, Peppercorns) and cook.

Add Dunar basmati rice and fry till grains separate.
Add salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder and water.
When rice is ¾th done, add the saffron and cook till fully done.
Sprinkle with kewra essence. Granish with chopped cashewnuts, almonds, raisins, fresh mint and coriander leaves. Serve steaming hot with raita.



Dunar Manpansand Rice Recipe

Wash DUNAR Basmati Rice in water and then soak for about half an hour and rinse well.Boil DUNAR Basmati Rice in salted boiling water until completely cooked. rinse and keep warm.Wash, peel and chop carrots into half cm cubes.Wash lemon grass stalk.
Separate cauliflower into small florets and wash them. Soak them in warm salted water and keep aside.Cut cabbage into half cm chunks.Wash and trim Spinach leaves.Dissolve corn flour in half cup water.Take three cups of water in a pan, add lemon grass, star anise and carrots and bring; it to boil. Continue to cook in boiling water for three minutes, reduce heat and add green peas and cauliflower florets.Simmer till green peas and carrots are just done. Stir in cabbage and spinach leaves.Season with salt and crushed pepper corn.Add soya sauce, bring it to a boil and stir in cornstarch dissolved in water while stirring continuously. Simmer for half a minute. Arrange rice in a large service bowl and pour cooked vegetables over the rice and sprinkle sesame oil on top.

Dunar Murg Pulao- The Classic Rice Recipe

Over the centuries, creative Indian cooks have turned rice into many novel dishes using local ingredients. DUNAR Foods Ltd presents one of the best-known Murg Pulao- the classic rice recipe for gourmets with a magnificent flavor. 
Wash DUNAR Basmati Rice in plenty of water and soak rice in water for half an hour.Peel and grind ginger and garlic to a fine paste.Mix chicken mince with ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, coriander powder, lemon juice and salt to taste.Mix well and refrigerate until required.Wash green chilies, onion, tomatoes and chop fine.Wash chop green coriander fine along with mint leaves.Heat oil in a nonstick pan, add cumin seeds and stir fry till they start changing color.Add bay leaf, pepper corns, cloves, green cardamom, cinnamon and chopped green chillies.Add sliced onion and brown on high heat until the onion turns translucent.Stir briefly and add the marinated chicken mince.Cook on high heat for two to three minutes, stirring continuously.Add chopped tomatoes, green coriander and mint leaves and continue cooking for three to four minutes Drain and add the soaked Basmati Rice and salt to taste, mix well.Add two and half cups water (preferably hot). Add salt and mix well.Bring the mixture to a boiling stage and cook on high heat stirring gently but frequently till the water is almost absorbed.Reduce the heat, cover the pan with a tight fitting lid and cook for another three to five minutes or till the rice is done.

Wash DUNAR Basmati Rice in plenty of water and soak it in water for half an hour.Peel and chop onion and ginger.Wash and chop tomatoes.Clean, wash and finely chop fresh coriander leaves.Soak Soya Chunks in hike-warm water for fifteen minutes and squeeze to remove excess water and cut each piece into two.Heat oil in a thick-bottomed pan, add cumin seeds and let them crackle.Add chopped onion and sauté for two minutes. Cook on medium heat, stirring continuously till onions turn brown.Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, and red chili powder and chopped tomatoes and continue cooking on medium heat for three to four minutes or until tomatoes are cooked.Add Soya Chunks, DUNAR Basmati Rice and chopped fresh coriander leaves and stir gently for a minute. Stir in three cups of water, Garam Masala Powder salt to taste and bring it to a boil.Reduce the heat, cover the pan and simmer till all the water has been absorbed and rice is cooked. Serve hot.
